AR Walzen bids farewell to its founder and former Managing Director Gerd Reinking on his retirement

The former Managing Director's involvement ended as agreed at the beginning of 2016. At an event held in the company on 18 January 2016 to mark his well-earned retirement, Gerd Reinking (72), who was accompanied by his wife, was bid a fond farewell by all those present.
In the company of his long-term colleagues (many of whom were hired personally by him) and the new management team, the early days and development of AR Walzen were once again reviewed by those present. In a period exceeding 25 years, sound business decisions ensured that personnel levels and turnover grew continually at AR Walzen. During this time, Gerd Reinking was always successful in re-adapting the company where necessary to meet market requirements.

Forum Maschinenbau 2015 (FMB) trade fair

AR Walzen shared a booth with the Neuenhauser Group and presented its innovations to an interested public at what it has come to regard as its "own" trade fair in its home town of Bad Salzuflen.
The trade fair attracted numerous customers and interested parties from the Ostwestfalen-Lippe region who took advantage of the event to discuss rollers and mechanical engineering in general. Neuenhauser was represented in many areas (such as expansion elements, rollers, contract manufacturing parts, assemblies and plant engineering) and extremely happy with the trade fair.
As a special bonus, AR Walzen was able to offer its customers a tour of the modern roller production facility which is located close to the exhibition centre. Interested customers were more than happy to take part in this tour, and it will be offered again at the next FMB to be held on 9 to 11 November 2016. We would also like to invite anyone else who may be interested to arrange a tour before or after the trade fair.

ICE Europe 2015

This year saw AR Walzen sharing the Neuenhauser Group booth for the first time with Vorwald (expansion elements) and Slittec (cutting technology) at the ICE Europe event.
A high level of brand recognition in all three cases ensured a high volume of visitors to the booth on each day, and intensive and very productive conversations were had with both existing and new customers.
The strategy of presenting our customers from the converting industry solutions in the area of redirection, winding and cutting in a single booth paid enormous dividends in this respect.
A decision has already been reached on participation at the next ICE Europe in 2017, and we are looking forward to seeing all our customers and visitors again.

AR Walzen expands production capacity

AR Walzen expanded its production from mid-2014 through further investment in its machinery and the acquisition of a new, high-precision Okuma CNC lathe with drilling / milling options, a CNC milling machine with a fourth axis for milling long parts and rollers, a large automatic saw capable of accommodating diameters up to ø 430 to expand the company's own cutting capacity and a further roller turning lathe for lengths up to 3 m. In addition, machinery at the Steti plant has been supplemented by further lathes and a new Schenk balancing machine for dynamic balancing of rollers weighing up to 3000 kg.
An extremely high volume of orders made these measures necessary, and they will continue to ensure an excellent delivery performance and quality for our customers in future.
